The Philosopher's
Stone

An immersive escape room game that users can carry out at home, either as a stand-alone experience or as preparation for the physical escape room.

From this project, I learned that good design only happens when you start doing. Every detail had to be tested; from finding the right bottles so that the experience would fit through the mailbox to user testing every quiz and code.

Our client wanted an alternative to the very expensive foiling sailboats currently on the market and asked for a design that would cost about half of the expensive boats to make. Six months of research, prototyping, and CAD modeling ensued to create a low-budget foiling sailboat.

From this project, I learned how to manage my time in a team properly, especially during COVID times. I also gained an enormous amount of knowledge about CAD modeling, 3D printing, and material properties.

ROADMAP FOR CLEAR

roadmap for clear

Our client Clear had a great product for the healthcare market but was not sure whom its customers were going to be and how to approach them. Through thorough trend analysis and creative sessions, my group and I created a roadmap for them covering the next twenty years. The roadmap contained multiple directions to pursue, broken up into smaller steps to help reach their ultimate goal.

This project taught me how to make a successful and resource-based roadmap with the heart of the company in mind.

DISABILITY AND DESIGN

My very first project at the TU Delft is one that immediately shaped me as a designer, and therefore I find it important to include it on this website. Thoroughly understanding my user turned out to be the solution to solving his problem, which is a lesson I have never forgotten about good design.
